Read first: the honesty rules this kit follows
This kit only helps you build the cost of accepting cards into your prices and describe price changes truthfully. It will not:
- blame a price rise on the end of card surcharges when other costs also went up,
- rename a card surcharge as a “service”, “admin”, “processing” or any other fee,
- show a cash or PayID price unless the full price is shown at least as prominently, or
- add “was” prices.

2. Review new prices
“Card costs included” is your old price plus your card payment cost (the ACCC’s example: $60 + 1.0% = $60.60), then rounded. You can change the price you will actually charge. If it is higher than the card-cost price, other costs are part of the rise and the customer notice must say so.
| Item | Old price | Card costs included | Price you will charge | Difference |

5. Why did your prices change? Tick every real reason
Be honest and complete. If anything other than card payment costs pushed a price up, tick it. The notice and staff script will mention every reason you tick and nothing else.
Your reasons pass the honesty checks. The customer notice and staff script built from them are included in the full kit.
6. Customer notice
A printable notice that tells customers truthfully why your prices changed, naming every reason you ticked: included in the full kit.
7. Staff counter script
A printable script with honest answers to the questions customers ask at the counter: included in the full kit.
